At Flawed Leader our vision is to Grow. Together.
We do this by empowering leaders and organizations to lead imperfectly through the lens of their growth and the growth of those they lead to transform their path forward.
To lead imperfectly as a Flawed Leader requires specific intention. We support that intention through our Flawed Leader Values.
Our Flawed Leader Values are:
Curiosity
Growth
Presence
Humanity
Community
Advocacy
Resilience
These values have a flow starting inward and expanding outward. So far we've explored what it means to be a Flawed Leader by exploring inward to understand the need for Curiosity, Growth, and Presence (Part 1) and in turning outward to understand the role of Humanity and Community (Part 2). We round out our understanding of what it means to be a Flawed Leader by exploring the role of Advocacy and Resilience.
Advocacy - for ourselves, for our team, and visibility for those we serve
This matters because our humanity will always require something from us on our growth path. To be a Flawed Leader is to recognize that by supporting each person in their own way, requires their needs, interest, and recognition to happen in a unique way.
Resilience - ownership of the results, the determination to persevere, and to celebrate wins
This matters because leading people in a way that honors their humanity and fundamentally flawed nature will result in failures. To be a Flawed Leader is to celebrate the wins and celebrate and work through as equally well the misses as a part of a journey of growth.
Wrap up: to be a Flawed Leader requires a new way of being that creates a foundation built on support of people and honoring them as they are, which is beautifully human. This will create a People-First culture where the needs of the business or the group you lead can be actualized by tapping into a power otherwise not accessible.
