Why ‘Flawed Leader’ as the name?
The word flawed elicits a reckoning; am I flawed, do I have to admit I’m flawed? It’s not about being flawed, rather it's about recognizing that flawed is the fundamental nature of our humanity, and there is power in this. Flawed is the reality of how we exist and live and serves as a call to action to lead even with those flaws. In our business lives, we are often looking for an element of ‘perfection’ before we feel ready to act.
At Flawed Leader, our intent is to live in that imperfect place and cultivate growth wherever you are. As leaders, recognizing our own imperfections and still pursuing growth allows us to be both an example to the teams we lead and allows us to lead better as a work in progress. When we’re all in it together, it's easier to create collective growth and not just meaningful, but sustainable growth forward.

What is Coaching?
​
A coach is a partner to help actualize potential that enters the partnership as an equal. The fundamental element of coaching is the belief that the client is capable and equipped to take on the challenge of growth. The coach helps bring this potential to the forefront.

A coach will create an open space to understand, challenge, explore, and consider what is and what could be. A coach does not tell or instruct. They are a partner to guide.

At Flawed Leader, we Coach based on the Core Competencies as defined by the International Coaching Federation.

What type of Organizations does Flawed Leader work with?

We lead organizations, founders, and executive leaders, with an emphasis on the whole organization. We specialize in early-stage startups and newer businesses with 5-25 people. While we typically focus on e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, and emerging business, we specialize in any small to mid-size organization that is looking to set intention to their culture. Organizations that are seeking stability for their path forward and future scale are exactly the partners we're looking for.
